Wild Women Day Trips 2026

Join us for a year of adventure, connection, and fun on the water! Our day trips are designed for women who love the outdoors and want to explore beautiful waterways together. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, these sessions are gentle, supportive, and full of great memories.


Saturday 21st February – Nottingham Adventure

We’ll visit Hoverinton Lake or Ashby Canal for a gentle Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) session. Perfect for easing into the season and enjoying calm waters.


Saturday 21st March – Moving Water Skills at Matlock

Katy will lead a gentle moving water trip on the River Derwent at Matlock.

  • Limited spaces: 6 people in canoes only
  • Test your skills and knowledge as you learn to turn and move your boat through stunning scenery.

April – North Wales Weekend

This is a separate booking for a full weekend adventure in North Wales. Details coming soon!


Saturday 16th May – Leicester Urban Tour

Start at Aylestone Meadows and enjoy an iconic river tour of Leicester, including:

  • 4 locks to portage
  • A coffee break at Bitsey’s Emporium
  • Return to LOPC at the end of the day

June – She Retreat

Save the date: 5th–7th June
A special weekend retreat for women. Booking will be separate—details coming soon!


Saturday 25th July – Leicester Loop

An amazing circular route starting at LOPC, heading up the canal via 3 locks and portage at The Rally, then returning on the river. Includes a coffee stop along the way!


Saturday 19th September – Leicester Rural Trip

Start at LOPC and paddle 12 km through 5 locks to Waterside Canoe Club, where we’ll finish with a well-earned drink.
