Sheltered Water SUP Award - North Wales Trip

Sheltered Water SUP Award - North Wales Trip

This is a course for someone who has managed to grasp a basic understanding of how to paddle a Stand Up Paddle Board. It is a continuation from the Paddle UK Explore award, moving skills forward. However, anyone who has had some experience paddle on gentle water and can paddle standing up can book on.

We will be coaching you on your paddle skills, teaching new techniques, and aim to give you experience on a more challenging environment. We will also look into different safety aspects of the sport, helping you to make good decisions and keep yourself safe on the water.

The trip will be very much a social occasion, with a very relaxed informal approach. We will most likely be looking to paddle on the incredible Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid), for some open water practice, as well as a paddle along the beautiful River Dee. Two ideal locations for the award.

Course fee includes coaching, and kit hire you need from the centre, and any water access fees. It does not include any accommodation, travel or food.
