Paddle Sport Leader Assessment

Two day assessment for the Paddle Sport Leader Award. The assessment has been set for 30th September & 1st October 2025, please also keep free 6th and 7th October, if we do not get the correct conditions on the planned date we will reschedule for the later date.

Please note candidates must supply their own equipment and make their own travel arrangements.

Candidates will have to plan their two trips, (open water and river), which must be in the Midlands area (within 50 miles from Leicester).

Candidate will also need to ensure they have 4 to 6 participants to lead, of which at least 1 participant must be paddling a closed cockpit kayak, open canoe and stand up paddleboard. LOPC can lend out equipment, but this is very limited.

If you cannot make the date provided, please contact us and we may be able to organise an alternative one. There is also the option to complete the assessment whereby you only lead participants who are paddling the same craft as yourself, if you wish to be assessed in this way, please contact us.
