Introduction to Bushcraft Afternoon

Introduction to Bushcraft Afternoon

If you don’t know much about Bushcraft, and you would like to learn some basics to start you off, then this course might be perfect for you.

This is broad look at the basics of Bushcraft. We will explore traditional fire lighting with flint and steel; use the more modern Ferrocerium rods to send showers of sparks onto a tinder source. We will also look at natural shelters, and constructing a woodland dwelling. There may also be time to explore a seasonal craft or forage.

Typically, this course runs from 1:30pm to 4:30pm on a Saturday.

Once you have completed this course you can go on to learn more from our supplementary courses. Either attend our Family Forrest sessions, or there is the Introduction to Foraging or Bushcraft Competency Award.
