Intermediate Paddlers (Level 2)

This is the continuation from the Introduction Course, where we will be aiming to coach the participants on controlling their crafts more accurately, and paddle more efficiently. The course works through the Paddle UK Explore Award syllabus, which you will receive a certificate for at the end of the course. 

We do three types of courses for three different crafts choices: Canoe, Kayak or Stand Up Paddleboard. Please choose the right course for your choice of craft. 

The course can cover: 

  • Advice on organising your own paddle trips 
  • Strategies for paddling on more difficult environments 
  • Different ways to steer and manoeuvre the craft 
  • Engaging different muscle groups paddle more efficiently 
  • Polishing up existing skills 
  • Further water confidence 
  • Self Rescues (optional) 
  • Future Development 

The course is very much designed around the paddler and their personal progression. Where possible we will adapt the course for the needs of the participant. 

Boats/boards buoyancy aids and paddles are provided, but please feel free to bring your own equipment if you have it.
