Climbing Club Adult Session at the Tower

Climbing Club Adult Session at the Tower

These are climbing club sessions held at Leicester Leys Climbing Centre. This session is for age 14 and over only.

Members will get a cheaper rate than non-members.

You can purchase Climbing Club Membership Online here.

Our Climbing Club now offers themed Tuesday evenings for both adults and children. Each session brings something a little different—ranging from skill-building and coaching to light-hearted challenges and just a bit of fun.

As always, taking part in the theme is completely optional. If you’d prefer to come along for a regular climb, that’s absolutely fine too.

Here’s what we’ve got planned:

21st July – The Tower
Timed Challenges
Take part in friendly competitions or simply aim to beat your personal best—how fast can you climb?

28th July – LOPC
Rope Climbing
Learn the challenging technique of using your body efficiently to climb a rope—harder than it looks, but incredibly rewarding!

4th August – The Tower
Impaired Vision Challenge

How much do you rely on your sight when climbing? Put your trust in your other senses as you take on climbing challenges with impaired vision. Develop communication, spatial awareness, and confidence while experiencing the wall from a completely different perspective.

11th August – LOPC
Abseiling Techniques

Abseiling is about much more than simply getting down the wall. This session will explore a range of abseiling techniques, helping you build confidence, improve control, and understand the skills used in a variety of climbing environments.

18th August – The Tower
High Feet Challenge

Stepping high can often feel daunting, but it's a key skill for improving your climbing efficiency. This challenge focuses on building confidence in high foot placements and learning to push powerfully from your legs rather than relying solely on your arms. How high can you step?

25th August – LOPC
Anchor Building & Crag Safety

Take your climbing knowledge beyond the climbing wall and into the outdoors. Learn the fundamentals of building anchors in a crag environment, understand key safety considerations, and discover how rope systems are used in climbing and rope access. A great introduction to the skills that underpin safe outdoor climbing adventures.
